Show & Stud News July 2010

Langenhoe Park Pony Stud is now offering Pony Training, Conditioning, Show Preparation & Riding Lessons for all ages & levels at our property situated at Central Coast of NSW. Pony Club, Showing, Basic Jumping, Sporting, Dressage (Beginner to Medium level) or just general riding & care. We also are catering to travel to your property, saving you hooking up the float after getting the kids home from school & the stress of traffic and travel – Central Coast & Surrounding Areas. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you are further away e.g. Sydney, Hunter areas. We may be able to organise a day trip group lesson (or schooling day for private lessons) in your area.

Kayla has been riding & showing professionally for 18 years, always achieving wonderful, rewarding results at Royal & Horse of the Year level. ‘I believe in achieving harmony between the horse & rider, always striving towards the next level. Safety for children is number one priority in my books. My ultimate dream has always been to breed & train genuine child’s ponies; there have been far too many ponies out there that have not been genuinely safe for a child. Now I’m hoping to make that dream a reality.’

Please don’t hesitate to enquire at any time via email kayla_guner@yahoo.com or call on 0438920022.

It has been very busy here at Langenhoe Park over the winter break, breaking in & continuing training with our youngsters.

Malibu Park Siena has been going very kindly under saddle, she is most certainly bred to carry a saddle & her kind temperament is definitely a blessing. I am hoping she will make her newcomer debut in 2011.

Our newly acquired small pony mare ‘Cimeron Angelica’ (Royalwood Boy Soprano X Beelo Bi Raindrop) has settled into her new home with ease. I am having a ball getting her ready for the new season; she is such an exciting young pony with a huge future ahead of her. I can’t wait to see what Jellys future will bring. Thank you again to Cimeron Stud in WA for letting Jelly join our stud and show team, we love her to bits!

LP Malibu is progressing with leaps and bounds with his education; I am still beaming with pride since EA HOTY and his amazing win of Newstar Small Show Hunter POTY & Top 10 Open Small Show Hunter Pony. A big thank you again to Ashley Jobe-Parker (and mum Cynthia!) for doing such an amazing job piloting Malibu even though he was still so green you handled it like a pro! Not too bad for a pony that was only broken in 2 months prior...

LP Malibu HOTY 2010

Whitmere Pop Song (LJS Passion Pop X Rosedale Tempting) is due to foal for us within the next 4 weeks, we cannot wait to see what our special new girl will contribute to our stud. She is in foal to the gorgeous imported RP stallion standing at Whitmere Stud ‘Pendley Gold Cup (IMP)’.

Our beautiful extremely well-performed mare Drumclyer Macarena is also due to foal in the coming months. Mac is in foal to the most divine RP colt ‘Westlake National Anthem’ who is owned by the lovely Elizabeth Tomlinson of Carlingford Park Riding Ponies.

Willowcroft Star Attraction is due to foal for Carlingford Park, she is also in foal to 'Westlake National Anthem'. I am waiting for that early morning phone call from Elizabeth with the exciting news!!

We did have a little scare throughout winter, we almost lost our little darling LP Petite Princess (Bevanlee After Dark X Headley Park Antoinette). Still to this day we are not sure want was wrong with her, our fantastic vets at Wyong Equine Clinic did everything they could for her & we are so lucky she pulled though. She just wouldnt eat, refused to drink & she just gave up completely on life. After days, weeks & months!!!! of persistance, bottle & hand feeding and looong cold nights our little Charlotte bounced back to being a normal foal again. She is still being bottle fed but I think thats due to being spoilt!!
Charlottes half sister, LP Adorabelle (Bevanlee After Dark X The Heights Amber Rose) also contributed in saving Charlotte being a true big sister & keeping her company. Ellie is growing into such a sensible 1 year old, I truely think she has been here in another life!
Both fillies are growing up & most certainly taken the best parts of their parents combined, we are blessed to have such beautiful natured babies...

A massive thank you to our sponsors for your continuous support;
KB Browbands (Thank you Kayla Booth for always ensuring our ponies look spot-on in the show ring!), Show Pony Classifieds (Jellys Show Team Sponsorship), Emma Dunn & Monument Park (Jelly also says thank you!!) and S&T Carriers.

Can’t wait to see everyone at the upcoming shows, good luck & enjoy!

STUD NEWS MARCH 2010

Langenhoe Park Pony Stud is very proud to announce 'Cimeron Angelica' the beautiful highly decorated Western Australian Small Pony mare has joined our team of show ponies here in NSW!!! A big thank you must go to Cimeron Stud (Helen, Anna & Colin Duffy and Elna Clark) for allowing their little girl to make the big move over east and also the lead up in helping me prepare Jelly for the Grand Nationals at SIEC. Jelly is by the gorgeous 'Royalwood Boy Soprano'
and out of the well performed APSB mare 'Beelo Bi Raindrop'. We are extremely excited for her arrival mid-march & cant wait for her to join the family. We would also like to congratulate Carlingford Park Riding Ponies on their recent successes & also with 'Willowcroft Star Attraction' (who is currently on lease) preg testing positive to their very exquisite colt 'Westlake National

Anthem', we are so excited to see what Bella & Neon will produce and contribute to their stud.

(PAGE WAS DELETED BY MISTAKE!!! WILL FIX ASAP....)

We have also recently been sponsored by KB
Browbands. We are so very honoured & would like to thank KB Browbands for their wonderful support of our Show Team and adding those perfect finishing touches! Worn by Royal Champion Winners Nationwide, Ensure that your show horse or pony will stand out

Langenhoe Park Pony Stud is very proud to announce 2 gorgeous healthy babies have finally arrived! Our Australian Mare, The Heights Amber Rose and sire Bevanlee After Dark produced a very precocious little brown (turning grey) filly with ample white markings affectionately named  ‘LP Adorabelle’  back in September. Being 18 days overdue, ‘Ellie’ seemed to of been in the world before knowing exactly what was what and who was who.  She most certainly is taking after her sires side with her extravagant movement and inquisitive disposition! Our precious well-performed mare ‘Headley Park Antoinette’ (Pendley Gold Cup IMP X Weston Antonia IMP) was also joined last season to the very charismatic ‘Bevanlee After Dark’ (Rathowen Souvenir Edition X Bevanlee Storm Krystal) who is now standing at stud at Kiva Arabians in New Zealand, has given us a very special little filly early hours this morning. ‘Charlotte’ is black with 3 white socks and a dainty blaze, very petite & for being such a tiny foal just out of a maiden mare sure has attitude to burn! We are over-the-moon with the 2 foals that Rosie & Annie have produced for us and really look forward to seeing what these little bundles of joy bring us in the future.

In other news, we are very blessed to welcome ‘Whitmere Pop Song’ to our ever expanding band of beautiful mares. She is by the very well renown stallion Rosedale Tempting and out of the gorgeous mare who I have been a big fan and follower for many years, LJS Passion Pop. ‘Poppy’ has the most expressive movement & is a very sweet natured little filly. She will join our show team in the near future once she grows a little more into herself. A big thank you to Darren, Greg & Eleanor of Whitmere Stud in NSW for offering us the opportunity to own such a special filly!

Elizabeth Tomlinson of Carlingford Park Riding Ponies in the picturesque Hunter Valley of NSW has now leased our beautiful Galloway mare ‘Willowcroft Star Attraction’. Due to myself having too many young ponies up and coming, Bella has been on a break from her show career during the last 9 months. We are very lucky for Bella to go to such a wonderful home and cannot express how grateful I am to Elizabeth for looking after Bella like the princess she is. She has already settled in & made herself right at home! Fingers crossed for Carlingford Park for a positive preg test to the very impressive young Riding Pony colt ‘Westlake National Anthem’.  We look forward to hearing what Bella is up to & of course seeing what she can produce and contribute to Carlingford Park. Please visit their website Click Here More updates on Bella soon!

I am very impressed with all of our youngsters at the recent shows –

Leanda Pop Star (Kirreway for all Occassions X Radford Lodge Rosea) debuted at her first show which was the APSB Youngstock Show at Luddenham. She came away with Champion Led APSB Riding Pony & won her Riding Pony yearling class. Star also competed at the NSW All Welsh Show and placed out of a very strong field of yearlings. At both shows she took all in her stride, I am over the moon with how she is blossoming & her nature is just divine.

Malibu Park Siena (Janevelyn Hearts on Fire X Malibu Park Cocoa) is always very consistent for Langenhoe Park in placings, winning many broad sashes at The APSB Regional Show, The APSB Youngstock Show and more recently at The Saddle Pony Nationals coming away with Best Presented Saddle Pony Exhibit 12.2hh n/e 13.2hh. Siena has the most gorgeous disposition, a rare gem! She has been entered for Canberra and Sydney Royal for 2010 and currently is going through the breaking-in process. I am aiming her for a 2011 start under-saddle, please see her mares page for more details and news.

ShowNewsNov2009

Malibu Park Top Drop (LJS Limited Edition X Waratah Madeira) never ceases to amaze me with his unflappable temperament and showmanship attitude. He has only been to a few shows in the last 6 months but each time has come away with top placings and huge compliments from fellow competitors. At the Saddle Pony Nationals, he won his Led Saddle Pony Gelding 4yrs and over 12.2hh n/e 13hh,  2nd in the Newcomer class 12.2 n/e 13.2hh and 1st in the Intermediate Saddle Pony. George has been entered for Canberra Royal 2010 for both Led and Ridden. Being so young and already showing so much promise under-saddle, I am very excited to see where he will be up to next show season.

Langenhoe Park Limited Edition AI (Pendley Gold Cup IMP X The Heights Amber Rose) made his debut at the NSW All Welsh show. He made us very proud placing 2nd in the Riding Pony 2yo colt class, 1st Part Welsh 2yo colt & went on the win Reserve Champion Part Welsh Colt. It was a wonderful first outing for him and had many people comment on his very impressive ground covering movement. Due to how many ponies we have out and about at the moment the hard decision was made to geld our little man last week, although now that means Timmy is another fantastic newcomer prospect for 2011-2012! He will be shown lightly in-hand next season as a 3yo Gelding and aim for Canberra & Sydney Royal in 2011.

Powys Sheer Bliss (Bradmore Toy Soldier X Glengwin Heini Bliss) went to her one and only outing this season, she has hampered by a few minor health issues. We took Cindy to the NSW All Welsh Show and considering she was the tiniest in the 3yo Part Welsh Filly Class, she still came away with a place.  All 10.1hh of her strutted her stuff (she has personality plus!!) & won over many hearts, kids and adults alike. Cindy will be making her debut under-saddle next year for her newcomer season and also, of course, leading-rein!

Langenhoe Park Malibu (Newdale Jack Daniels X The Heights Amber Rose) is also preparing for his newcomer season for 2010. Malibu is always so willing to please and is thoroughly enjoying the fuss of becoming a full-time show pony. His movement is blossoming more and more every month & I am thrilled with his temperament under-saddle, he has taken the whole process in his stride. A true top childs show hunter pony! We are really looking forward to seeing how he will take to being in the show atmosphere and I have a feeling he will strut his stuff with pride & cadence.

All at Langenhoe Park would like to wish everyone luck at the remaining shows this season (the NSW Youngstock Championships is our last show for the year).

More news to come in the coming weeks including Mares in foal!
